90 Points

Monday, June 16, 2008 - Popped and poured. Initial nose impression was of wild strawberries, a bit of mushroom, and crushed black tea leaves. With aeration in the glass, I really noticed substantial gains in both complexity and volume on the nose, with a lovely floral edge emerging. A sleek and elegant textured pinot, with slightly tart cherry and cranberry fruit, and sound acidity. Just the slightest suggestion of new wood on the finish lingers nicely and leaves a favorable impression. A very young pinot that is undoubtedly built to age.
