Monday, April 25, 2005 - Wow. The nose offers a ton of interesting aromas – sweet smoky/flinty cassis, vanilla, some medicinal underbrush, and black tea. In the mouth there is good sweetness, similar flavors (with the addition of some blackberries), and then a big broadside of tannin stops the revel. If this tannin “melts”, this be mind-bogglingly good. This is way more rustic than Lynch Bages, and even GPL, but it’s big. Awesome!
