Sunday, March 22, 2015 - The nose showed intense crushed blackberry, cherry liquor, cola and eucalyptus with savory hints of charred meat, dark soil and herbs in the background. On the palate, It displayed weighty, silky textures with flavors of black fruit, licorice, bitters and peppery spice, yet there's a hint of perceptible heat here, which swayed it from balance. A bitter twang lingered through the finish with dark fruits clinging to the senses.
I want to love this, but the heat gets in the way a little, yet still a good effort.
