Tuesday, January 28, 2014 - Tasted blind. Clean, medium (+) garnet with brown hues. Definitely showing a little age. The nose is clean, developed and medium (+) in intensity, with aromas of dry red cherries, tar, earth, forest floor. The palate is dry, with medium (+) acidity, medium alcohol and resolved tannins. This is a well made wine which is ready and perhaps past its prime. I would not have guessed that it was this old, however, so it showed pretty well.
