Saturday, November 18, 2023 - Great cross section between secondary and tertiary flavors with nougat, brown sugar and leather with hallmark sous bois aromatics to the spicy orange-inflected top note to the remaining fruit. This is certainly dense as you’d expect for Clos Vougeot but there is a spicy character that keeps this fine and away from the rustic stuff. Beet Bourguignon and Worcestershire come about with the root vegetable undertones of this wine. Delicious!
