Saturday, September 19, 2009 - At first I enjoyed the cherry cola carmel candy nose (like a diamond almost) but after awhile the wine became tiresome with too much sweet oak. Overripe grapes and expensive (expansive?) oak are the curse of caliwines. It showed nice fruit underneath the tannin and wood so I'll wait 6-12 months before trying again.
