Saturday, April 9, 2011 - Last night we did a JohnX 2000 on the terras while eating a lamb filet. Beautifull April night. Out of the cellar @ 14 degrees and my last one. Oh hell why my last one!. Why did I not buy 36 of these. 11 years of rest did this one right. Vanillla and Cassis on the nose.The first sip reminded me of a Pavie 1999. The same clarity and purity. Dark fruit. Cassis and Cherries. Velvety. It blew me away. My wife as well. All the others I opened up WAY to early. Followers of JohnX please be PATIENT. You will not regret it. These wines need time. It says so on the back of the bottle. 10-15 years. We have had some serious bottles during the years, this one really stood out..Very memorable.
