95 Points

Saturday, January 19, 2013 - Decanted 3 hours. A night of CdPs with 2007 Donjon, 2007 Beaucastel, and a 2006 Telegraphe Blanc. This was ranked second out of the three reds.

When I cut off the capsule, I was worried because there appeared to be mold on the top of the cork. After the cork was out, it looked to bee in good shape and the bottle seemed fine.

Once again this wine proved to be amazingly intense wine. Fantastic nose and huge flavours. A blunt instrument when compared to the finesse if the Beaucastel. This may sound like a criticism, but this wine was really enjoyed by all. Paired with drunken garlic prawns and beef tenderloin.

Compared to my previous tasting (a little over a year ago) this was much more approachable and actually quite enjoyable. I will try to hold my other bottles into the next decade.
