Thursday, April 11, 2013 - Decanted for four hours. Pleasant, but heavy, tar and char on the nose and palate. Very similar to Smith Haut Lafitte in flavor and style. Deep black fruit and smooth tannins. New world style Graves for sure, primary and drinking well, but was great with a steak. Plenty of fruit but maybe a little low in acid for the long haul. That said, for me, this wine is just entering its drinking window. If I had one bottle, I wouldn't think about drinking it for five years.
