I normally perceive a good deal of citrus in the aromas of Briords but in this instance that seems to be sharing the stage with something reminiscent of the seashore: almost oyster liquor-like. The citric twang pushes forward on the palate and reminds me of the yellow-skinned variety of sweet limes. Amazing, really, that a nine year old $13 wine is this vibrant and interesting.
