Saturday, September 6, 2008 - Exceptional nose of white peach, grapefruit, lemon rind, and a "wild flower meadow" component mix of floral notes, grass, and minerality. Medium platinum gold in the glass with just a little bit of spritz. Crystalline on the palate: pure and focused. White peach, grapefruit, floral notes, and minerality. Medium weight on the palate with beautiful razor sharp acidity and 12% ABV which is completely invisible. This is my second vintage of the Briords and once again I am most impressed with it's length. A minute plus and just when you think it's gone, it seems to come back for an encore.
