Sunday, November 23, 2014 - Half bottle laid down for some 18 months in wine fridge finally popped it to end the weekend. Like the leoville from about 2 weeks back, starts imperceptibly. No nose, no fruit on the palate. Slight ash and gravel. About 45 mins later reawakens to dark cherry, tinderbox, leather, smoke, tar and blackberry, ending with that signature mineral streak and medium finish. Mid palate tannins very enticing. Still has time and possibly will drink even better in 2020.
