Tuesday, October 4, 2011 - Great wine!....really full dense nose with ripe fruit and a little wood dust. Colour is dark and no signs of any development with a wonderful lush palate of deep blackcurrant and hints of brown sugar but with exceptional balance. This is a claret that has lets its hair down and is just a bit more fun. That shouldn't detract from just how serious this wine is and what a great drink on its own but just brilliant with food. Pork chops when well but I can imagine Lamb being an even better match. This has loads of time left.....and I have plenty of bottles left to see it develop. A least another decade left in it.
