Friday, October 21, 2011 - San Antonio Wine Geeks (Pasha 1604): Popped and poured and consumed over 4-5hrs. I had high expectations for this wine and it met them with exuberance. Huge nose with black cherry, spice cake, white pepper, thyme, and hints of leather. Palate with integrated tannins and prominant acidity, coming across as very fresh with impressive depth. Showing more spice, cherry, licorice, and currants. lengthy complex wine showing stone, spice, scorched earth and thyme. Phenomenal wine in it's drinking window with masculine style and power. Pure polished fruit with great secondary character. Buy if you don't own, but could still improve with age. WOTN for me.
