Sunday, June 15, 2014 - Mature appearance, medium garnet core, pale garnet rim. Nose is attractive with sweet red cherry, notes of leather and earth. Nicely perfumed, quite complex. Palate not so impressive, medium/full bodied with sweet, slightly stewed red cherry, soft integrated tannins, moderate acidity, with slightly porty fruit and brown sugar on the medium length finish. Better when slightly cool, drinkable but lacking much in the way of elegance, subtlety or complexity.
