Thursday, November 27, 2014 - Bright, acidic, earthy and closed at first. Obviously a Burgundy, especially compared side by side with new world pinots. Softens over the next hour to show basic, tasty, balanced and well made red fruits and earth, with a hint of complexity. Good, not superb - this just lacks definition and some sort of statement of character, this is a little too generic and ho hum, though the acidity was welcome during the meal. A nice rendition of a basic village wine from a mediocre vintage - not more.
