Monday, January 15, 2018 - Zurich Supper Club - We have a quorum in London...another epic dinner! (67 Pall Mall - London, UK): Another one of my contributions for the evening, especially fun to drink this wine with CVA & Andrew. Not much Saxum makes it to Europe (or outside the US for that matter...) A worthy addition to this dinner and for this crew...Had the somms decant this for about an hour before drinking.

Inky purple color, dark core. Rich nose of black and blue fruits, asian spice, pepper. Palate showing blueberry, boysenberry, floral notes, tart black fruits, baking spice, minerals...a lot going on here. Full bodied, great secondary note. Long and viscous finish

Great to drink this wine with knowledgeable friends, the wine that put Saxum on the map. This is a big wine for sure, fun to have such a classic Rhone Ranger on a night with a La Chapelle in the lineup. In a great spot now, seems it will hold at this level for a while...hard to wait. Andrew's WOTN
