Friday, June 17, 2011 - Great Grapes pre dinner. Opened about 3PM and tasted a few times before finishing the bottle at midnight. Upon opening, this was as black as midnight with no signs of age; very primary on the nose with notes of black fruits and licorice; full-bodied, with great concentration of fruit, a velvety texture, and long and chewy finish. After 8+ hours, the boquet blossomed, with much more complexity and even more velvet on the palate -- a great wine!
