Saturday, April 25, 2009 - Really good nose, dominated by cocoa with some dark berries, very rich. A bit hot. Surprisingly significant tannins. Lots of pepper and fruit on the palate. Strong finish. Went very well with lamb with a mole-inspired sauce, as it was able to hold up to the spice nicely. It would have been good to see how it changed with some air, but it went quickly at a dinner party.
