90 Points

Sunday, August 23, 2020 - shared with pat at selkirk manor to celebrate surviving another week during the pandemic. i continue to drink up the cellar with priority given to bottles with expired drink by dates. this bottle got lost in the cellar for unknown reasons. had not tasted since 2016. the wine has held up very nicely. not as fresh as last time but still very enjoyable. fine sediment adheres to the side of the bottle. dark color. dried cherry and some prune due to advanced age. this may be the most aged montepulciano d'abruzzo that i have ever had. a remarkable experience.
