94 Points

Sunday, October 8, 2017 - Intense cassis and vanilla driven nose, blueberry jam, creme de cassis, liquid smoke, strong oak via cedar, licorice, ink, dark spices and earth. Excellent concentration, a hint of sweetness, intense cassis driven palate impression, bright acidity, mineral and a long cassis, vanilla and cedar driven finish. This is a big scale very ripe cab still showing a good amount of oak. If you enjoy cultish mature Cab, this may represent very good QPR. If you enjoy Loire cab franc like freshness, run fast and run far.
