Sunday, June 12, 2011 - Did the "MD-shake" and then poured thru the Vinturi. What struck me first was how VERY dark in color this wine was. A strong nose of black fruits and alcohol. On the palate, the jamminess of the fruits works very well against the tannins and alcohol to provide for a smooth wine with a lot of character and a long finish. Paired well with barbequed baby-back ribs. Very enjoyable wine if you like this style.
