2007 Mollydooker Shiraz Blue Eyed Boy

Monday, November 30, 2015 - Double decanted; heavy sediment. Poured one hour later: Inky purple color. Blueberries, tobacco, minerals and far too much heat on the nose. Quite full bodied, concentrated blueberry jam on the palate, overwhelming whatever acids and tannins may be present. Long jammy finish. Overall, nothing subtle about this: just concentrated dark fruit juice plus alcohol. Probably will not improve with further age, and I plan to drink my remaining three bottles over the next year. At $50/bottle, a poor QPR.
