Saturday, November 21, 2015 - Nov 21st 2015 "Getting the Band back Together" Tasting at Adam's (Phredd's Casa): Sheila's wine (she also brought the 2006 as a comparison). If I thought the 2006 was one-dimensional, it had the complexity of the 2009 Lafite compared to the 2007. Alcoholic grape jelly which such viscosity that the burning astringency would not leave my palate even after a water rinse. Less jet fuel and more napalm; 16.5% abv on the label has me wondering how the Aussies calibrate their instruments. Overall evaluation: C.
