Sunday, August 26, 2012 - We had Raven Syrah No.5. Great wine, but still not this absolut outperfomring of 2006 En Cerise. The Raven is powerfull and very rich in extract. Smell reminds me on essential oils. Ripe black fruits, chocolate, speck (bacon), some menthol, and at the end some black pepper. The 15,5% Alc is very well integrated, cool on the palate, very well balanced. At all a masculin, powerful wine, with polished tannins and a youthful elegance.
