Thursday, October 7, 2010 - I am new to CDF, so I leave these notes with that caveat. Forest floor on the nose, dark red, spice, pepper, high tanin, underlying fruit battles against the tanin to emerge. Even in day two this wine was shut down. This could develop into a beautiful wine after many years cellared. Quite an explosion of wine in the mouth for now. Great with equally spicey or even hot (pepper) food and BBQ.
