Thursday, November 27, 2008 - So the Evesham Wood 07 WV was popped today at the family Thanksgiving feast. I don't have detailed notes as I was more focused on the social aspects than the wine. I will say this bottle did not dissapoint. Nice red fruit and minerality on the nose and palate and was just awesome with food (turkey roasted in the Weber with sage butter and a touch of hickory and applewood smoke). I found the wine to be supple, balanced, and suprisingly complex for the price tag. Much better than the 06 and compares favorably to the 05 that I also really enjoyed. Will be interesting to track this bottle as I consume the rest over the next year or two . . .
