Sunday, October 11, 2009 - Very true as a typical Stags Leap District Cabernet Sauvignon with deep dark purple color. Lots of complexity on the nose, fruit of course, but some cinnamon and asian spices with a leather background. The nose jumps out of the bottle and the glass. Plenty of dark fruit. The oak is almost not noticeable, fully and successfully integrated. Everything is balanced. Would score higher if there was a little more weight on the mouthfeel, which also affects the refined, but relatively short finish. Altogether a treat of a well made wine that is slightly lighter than expected
