Saturday, May 15, 2010 - Thirty minute decant. Immediately, aromas of deep, dark fruit and mocha jumped out of the decanter...many commented on the amazing nose. On the palate, the oak is slightly overbearing, but nice cassis and vanilla come through. The finish is slightly shorter than I remember and the wine seems to lose concentration at the tail end. Tannins seem to be integrating nicely. I knocked off a point from the previous score due to shortish finish and too much oak this time around. Still great at the discounted price.
