Tuesday, April 14, 2009 - From a magnum - popped and poured. Beautiful nose of dark fruit, earth and just a bit of bramble. This is a great vintage and it shows in this wine. Absolutely perfectly balanced with dark fruit, cherry and loam flavors. Hard to identify individual flavors as it is so well balanced, integrated and smooth. A seamless wine with no rough edges. Long, smooth finish. One of the better examples of Oregon pinot that I have enjoyed in the last several years. I agree that it is in a burgundian-styled wine and that it is very food friendly. We had it with grilled pork tenderloin and it was a near-perfect match.
