Tuesday, December 15, 2015 - This wine tasted twice in the last year and is a classic Steiner Hund--one of those wines that when it's on form is always stunning, from one vintage to another. Have tasted practically every release since 1999 and haven't been disappointed yet. A true Riesling lover's wine, in some ways similar in style and philosophy to Trimbach's Cuvée Frederich Emile. Both wines were poured in Traverse City for some of my winemaker friends and restauranteurs there. How a wine can be so delicate and yet mouthfiling one can only wonder. Only better experience with this wine is tasting it with Christine Saah under her imperial Linden tree.
