Saturday, March 11, 2017 - Still a very tannic and forward Napa cab after all these years. Probably has at least another 5 years to go before it starts calming down. Big and robust, the blackberry, tobacco, and tannins still hit like an early wine. Settles down after a bit in the decanter but still feels young even for a 2001. The high alcohol is apparent, but it is a Napa cab. Overall a great cellar wine that still has legs.
