Sunday, April 24, 2011 - Tasty Zin here...and great price for what you get. Let this sit in glass for a bit - nose was initially totally strawberry/cherry cheesecake! Smells great. Fades a little to just bright fruit. Palate is high on the acid and seems hot @14.5% ETOH. Nice juicy fruit/cherry notes that are not overly sweet for sure. Balanced! The overall experience is detracted by lots of acid and that heat - doesn't seem to settle. Perhaps a solid hour or 2 decanting will help this further, and of course a pairing with food.
