Saturday, December 28, 2013 - Opened about 40 minutes before being served. It had notes of barnyard and leather, strawberries, anise, and dusty soil. The fruit was surprisingly ripe for a while. Overall this wine lasted roughly 2 hours before turning into a reductive, muddy mess. For those couple of hours it was wonderfully concentrated yet balanced, and memorable. After that, not so much.
