Friday, December 25, 2009 - Ripe blackberry, raspberry, dark chocolate with that edge of tropical earthy citrus on the nose. The palate has juicy fruit with juicy black current, blackberry, dark raspberry, with that earthy edge and herbal side touching on the back of the palate and finish. Deep and rich but buoyed by decent acidity and braced by spicy background tannins. Spicy, luscious, balanced food friendly zin. This did not bottom out and drag my palate down. Was not an overly alcohol laden fruit bomb. Zin - full and classy.
