Thursday, December 5, 2013 - The last of CS for this wine (blend is 70%CS/30%CF), having gone to 100% CF in '01. This is absolutely spectacular juice. Striking nose of black cherry, cola, licorice, and wild herbs. Beautiful and elegantly textured. Very sexy yet quite complex. Wood is not shy here, but all is forgiven. Really a strange hybrid of Bordeaux tastes wrapped in a Burgundian package. While I can't sat this speaks of Italy I can say this is drop dead gorgeous. Really came alive with the lamb kabobs. No one would not love this! Drinking perfectly at the moment. I now see why all the hubbub about Paleo.
