Saturday, August 20, 2011 - [Tasted blind] Earthy, charred soil, funky oak, some dark fruit on the nose. Muscular, tart berry palate showing some old leather and incense tones and a little cedar/bell pepper as well. There is great acidity and body here along with the toasted earth and tartness makes me guess Ribera del Duero. Oh well, this was awesome!
