Saturday, April 26, 2008 - Earthy nose, quite closed. Decanted for several hours and it began to open up. Still pretty austere, but tannins not too overwhelming. Seems to have potential to be a very good, rounded, full fruit wine, but the flavors are still a bit restrained. Still, having said that, it is a very good wine even now once it begins to open. Probably best paired with things that will bring out the fruit flavors like cheese, raosted meats.
