The nose has raisins and dark chocolates. On the palate, this is quite complex. I have heard of VA complaints on this wine, but I get none. The palate has more plums and fresh fruit than dried. Berto mentioned a short finish, but I thought it went for a long time. I was very surprised at the freshness. A prior bottle drank great but much more dried than this one. A real treat.
