Saturday, June 1, 2019 - 1-007. My first bottle out of a case of 6 that I recently was able to buy due to a bankruptcy of a large wine trader - sad as it is. I was curious if this was not past its drinking window. Beautiful prominent yellow color reveals its 12-years of aging.
Scent of petrol, banana, but beeswax is dominant; a bit of pineapple and lemon. Long aftertaste - and dry which made me very happy as I generally don't appreciate sweet in Riesling. Lots to appreciate in this beautiful bottle; I do think I need to finish the case in the next 2-3 years max.
