Sunday, March 3, 2024 - Bold, beautiful and mature CDP. Quite different than our 1st bottle in 2020. Tannins are fully resolved, many secondary characteristics have emerged, and bricking on the edges. Very complex. A smokey, fruity, licorice bouquet. Plum, dark berries, leather, spice, pencil shavings, camphor, herb and meat juices on the super smooth palate. Long finish. Just a touch of heat on the backend, but not distracting. We have one more destined for consumption no later than 2027. 94-95 pts
