Sunday, May 27, 2018 - Purchased at auction. Opened to breathe for an hour, this is ready to go. Opulent leather and woodsy oak nose, on the palate extracted red fruit, berries, plums, some oak, mineral, and a long satisfying finish. Very smooth, integrated. The fruit here is as prominent as the oak and leather, making this delicioiusly complex and classy. For me this mature flavor profile is very satisfying. 2h after opening the flavor profile leans more towards acidic on the finish, I enjoyed this most about 1h after opening. Medium bodied, plenty of life ahead.
