Friday, December 10, 2010 - Strong, simple licorice aroma and flavor with some herbal oak on the finish. A bit of cherry builds with time but it's not significant compared to the licorice. Young, tight, medium/full, and food complementary after an hour. Needs a few years. Next day the fruit shows more sangiovese typicity but it's still licorice/tar based. The youthful angles have rounded. Very enjoyable. Good short term cellar candidate.
