Wednesday, December 21, 2011 - My first Community Cellar Entry. Chose this wine for it's #1 ranking of 2011 in WE. Decanted for only a minutes. Aroma hinted of sweet maraschino cherries which would've obviously overpowered and disappointed a Sangiovese wine if it tasted as the bouquet previewed. Yet, its taste was smooth, consistent, confident, yet understated and therein lies its power. Will drink again following some age and longer decanting
