Monday, January 31, 2011 - This is Sauternes at its best and biggest. Clear golden hue, just turning slightly amber. Sweet (but not overly so), full of botrytis, good acidity. This has candied orange, pine-apple, peach, apricot, marzipan and a big hint of 'After Eight' dinner-chocolates. Long lingering aftertaste. All in perfect balance (keyword here!!) This is in a great spot, but young still, and should drink well for decades to come.
