Tuesday, October 26, 2010 - Every time I pop and pour one of these, I kick myself for not opening it several hours beforehand. Duckhorn always needs a little air. At first blush this wine was a little dry and edgy, but later in the night, and the next day, it was really good. the tannins softened, nice layered Napa cassis and blackberry fruit emerged and it just sort of game together in this pleasing, whole. DV doesn't do fruit bombs, but they do do structure and sophistication.
