Sunday, August 16, 2015 - Decanted for about an hour prior to drinking with rib eye. Overall a great wine for dinner, but I think this wine would be just as good without food. As mentioned before, this has a big brooding nose of dark fruit, purple in color with a crimson rim. Seemless on the palate. Dark plum, currant, a touch of lavender and a little bit of chocolate. Long finish, leaves you wanting more. There was a little fine sediment in the glass. This is prime for drinking now or will hold up for 5-8 more years.
