Saturday, January 31, 2009 - Garnet coloured and quite transparent. Starting to show a little bricking at the rim. Lovely rich mouthfeel with good acidity and smooth integrated tannins. Really complex on the nose and palate with excellent persistence of flavour. Powerful fruity nose with leather and a tiny hint of brett. Sweet cherry fruit on the palate, more rich leathery flavours, thyme and winter spices. Excellent depth of flavour. Superb.
