Community Tasting Note

Tuesday, August 7, 2007 - Opened last night, immediately recorked, and put back in the cellar. Dark ruby color. Nose of sour cherry, cranberry and a hint of barnyard. Very dry on the palate with quite a bit of tannins left to resolve. 10% stems were used in this wine, and maybe that accounts for the slightly bitter, coarse tannins that currently overwhelm the fruit. May turn the corner, but I am really unsure about this one. Finishes powerfully, but green, extra dry and slightly bitter. Not my cup of tea at present.
