Friday, July 15, 2011 - Bastille Day at Mas Farmhouse; 7/14/2011-7/15/2011 (Mas Farmhouse, New York, NY): A polarizing wine at the table. While some thought the richness and roundness took away from its focus, I enjoyed the concentration. Heavy on the bread and yeast aromatics, with an underlying floral element. Palate was broad and expansive, completely mouthcoating. Good depth and power. Some remarked that it tasted more Pinot heavy. Long battonage? Loved the weight and depth.
